Get my free eBook User's Guide for the FZ200 available from my photoblog site http://www.grahamhoughton.com/downloa...Also available from Amazon UK in hard copy bookhttps://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/149484935...and Amazon USA http://www.amazon.com/dp/1494849356?t...The new FZ200 camera from Panasonic with the incredible 25-600mm equivalent lens at a constant aperture of f2.8 seems to be receiving many bad reviews over image quality, in particular the amount of noise in the in camera processed jpeg images. If you look at the images and video clips in this short presentation I'm sure you will find it hard to criticise the IQ of these samples. To produce the best IQ with any digital camera consider it to have just one sensitivity, its base ISO sensitivity. Go away from this and your are literally turning up the 'noise volume' from the analogue photosite to the analogue to digital convertor which digitises the sensor image. By 'fine tuning' the jpeg processing within the camera by reducing noise reduction and increasing sharpening you can greatly improve the jpeg images. If you want absolute control and best possible images then shoot in RAW format and process with Adobe Lightroom RC4.2 or the included camera software Silkpix. A lot of people hate Silkypix because of its unintuitive methods of working but with practice you can achieve great results in noise reduction and colour tone. Forget marketing driven claims of usable ISO to 3200 this camera falls apart at ISO 800 in all but the best of lighting conditions with a realistic threshold of ISO 400 in best light. There is absolutely no reason why not to lock the ISO to 100 with the f2.8 lens as its sharpness is very acceptable wide open.Stay with this method of working and you will be very happy with the results you get.More FZ200 Samples here http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=...
