I upgraded my rugged adventure camera to a Pentax WG-3. I previously used Pentax's Optio WG-1 adventure camera. The video quality is greatly improved and I am mostly satisfied with the results given the sacrifices made to accommodate its durability. However if you absolutely have to have optical zoom while recording, this camera is a total fail. The optical zoom in video works, but is obnoxiously loud and shaky, making the footage while zooming useless. :(The kayak is a 2013 SeaEagle 385FTShot at Piedmont Lake OhioThe Pentax WG-3 container file is .mov re-nameable to .mp4 without any issues for me.This footage was shot at stock settings, 1920x1080 at 29fps.The uploaded video was converted to .avi, because I have no .mov or .mp4 export capability at the moment.
