Having recently puchased a fuji kit for travel/personal photography I thought it would be good to do a little test.We grew up on Canon first with the 7d, then 5d mark 2, then the mark 3 and eventually into the c100 for our video work. the c100 was a significant improvement when it came to detail and dynamic range but we still use 5d's for some B-roll and supporting angles. Both cameras were set to identical settings (though it was slightly cloudy so some exposures are different). Canon was shot with the a neutral picture profile that is relatively flat (sharpness turned all the way down), and some saturation contrast were added in post. the fuji was shot in Astia with sharpness turned all the way down.The fuji is more detailed in 1080p but does have moire which the 5d handles very well (while losing a ton of detail)all shots were manually focused and checked and double checked. Stabilization was turned off for the 35mm F2IS.
