Sony RX0 4K UHD Video Test (Recorded on Atomos Shogun in ProRes 4K)I always like to carry an action cam when I go holiday, especially v-logging myself when drive around in different countries. So GoPro is always the way to go. But not until I saw the RX0. I have pre-ordered the RX0 as soon as the announced. I like that it has a 1” bit sensor. It’s very hard to see that. Even though Sony did not say the RX0 is an action cam. But tiny body with super slowmo and waterproof & rustproof. I don’t see why it’s not an action cam. The camera shoots upto 960fps in Full HD, and 4K external. (I know it’s better to have it internal) but I do understand if Sony puts everything in this little camera. Then no one will buy their RX100 V. The camera shoots 20 Mega Pixel stills. Although it’s a fixed Zeiss lens. But I’m happy with just 24mm lens. And I also like the camera that has tripod mount and mic jack builded in already. Super handy. Okay let’s talk about the image quality. The image looks really good, just like a proper camera. It doesn’t feel like an action camera anymore. And the lowlight performance is so much better than GoPro Hero 6. Super slowmo and S-log picture profile is great. Over all I’m quite happy with the image quality, but I do wish the camera shoots 4K so I didn’t have to bring my Shogun for the test. The combination looks a bit funny. (I’m happy if it’s just 3mins). Also it would be great if it comes with build in filter screw. (You need to buy the filter screw separately) In this review, what I did was, I tapped the ND filter in front of the lens element and some shots were shot around the sunset time. Otherwise I couldn’t get the 1/50 shutter speed. Also one big thing I realize from this little camera. The camera doesn’t let you change f/stop. It means the lens had the fixed aperture. If u you want to have 1/50 a secs motion blur. So when shooting with S-log. I found that very difficult. Thanks for watching this video test review!!
