Using a PT50 drum and chord accompaniment pattern to generate a shifting session of interesting textures and sounds. An exercise in doing something interesting with the drums in one of these things if nothing else.I wanted to utilise the potential here and do something creative with one of these patterns without resorting to sampling and sequencing the cuts. I think it worked.I'm using the beguine preset as it has a nice octaving pattern on the 'bass drum' which worked nicely as a low frequency grounding for the rest of the pattern. Quite a tricky one to orchestrate in an improvised session, but with some exploration a good formula was found.Backing drone is Restrings in reason. The PT sets off with all drum mutes engaged and only the backing chord accompaniment coming through. Accompaniment is then muted and the bass drum engaged, then the snare and then the hi hats. After this it's an escalation of the circuit bends to distort the sounds. Fading in with the ruiner just after mid way which turns out to have a really neat effect on the percussion. Finally fading back into just the accompaniment and then out. Delay rate is set to syncopate to generate depth and ambience. For sale when available at:http://www.x1l3.bigcartel.com/Facebook - now and then:https://www.facebook.com/X1L3.co.uk/
